The Chat Box

I've noticed a growing trend of people coming straight to the chat box and asking us about download links, how to register, and etc., where those questions can be answered simply by browsing a topic or two on the forums. It's becoming quite a bother to keep up with considering everyone visiting the chat room is expecting an immediate answer though we are all busy during the day carrying out our schoolwork and/or jobs. And it hurts to know that we are unable to help these people, and their desire to play the server is unfulfilled because we are unable to tend to their problems, or even point them in the right direction. I think it would make things a little smoother for all parties involved if something is done about this issue. I'm not necessarily proposing that the chat should be removed, but rather saying that the chat room should be moved so it doesn't stand out as much as it does currently, so that people can browse the forums first and find their answers (and the help board, if needed) before coming to the chat for further assistance. I thank whoever took the time to read this for reading and taking consideration, and I sincerely hope you understand where I am coming from with this.

(btw mt chatbox user is dragonmama with the garfield face) and someone has already

asked why it won't work, i think it was cuz he/she had the wrong version of ms?

well most people probably prefer the chat in the chatbox cause u would probably get ur answer faster than visiting the forums cause eveyrone passes the chat when they visit a forum and most stop to read the current discussion in it or at least thats me and my friends

Well, see, yes, you may get a response faster than on the forums, but not as fast as a chat room would imply, you know?
People go there expecting an immediate answer from us while we are usually busy carrying out our everyday activities.
At least on a forum you can expect a slower response and know to check back later. You know what im trying to say?
And also take into consideration that people are asking simple questions like "Where to download?", which can easily be found in the board right above that chat box

hey about the chat box most questions are usually problems about the downloads and asking where the downloads section is so why not move the chat box into the donwload and links?

I think some people aren't bothering with the forums...
Maybe that's why they don't know how to use the server...

I didnt even realize there was a chat box when i first came on the forum... oops.

I wish that were the same with the other visitors.

I think, to solve this problem with the chat box, you should either:

A: Get rid of it, as posting is easy, quick, and creates a more connected group than quick messaging as everyone can read it, and its not a "you have to be there" moment.

B: Move it to the Talk about things other than AngieMS section, as someone who needs help will not look there first...

C: Put a Large sign saying that the chat box is not used for helping with download problems, you need to post.
